Who is castrating China and Chinese people? by xpt May 4, 2008 I was on travel in Asia and saw the news from CCTV reporting the visit of the president Hu in Peking University on the 110th anniversary. I thought, "Why not the 100th, or 105th anniversary?" Why today? This seemingly coincidence is actually a well-planned and well-thought action known for CCPs amid the unsettling protests and mass movement throughout the world by the young patriotic Chinese. Sure enough, I heard of the words from him in his speech, that young people should learn "patriotism, progress, democracy and science (爱国、进步、民主、科学)." Now the president of China officially set the order for the young Chinese and Peking University: patriotism (爱国、进步) first, then democracy and science! Yes, 爱国、进步 should be the duty of each and every citizen of the country. However, like anything else in China, the good things can have different meaning and even be replaced with something else. In Mr. Hus's mind, 爱国 means support CCP's rule, its policies, decisions, and every whim and wiggle that CCP like to make. Why? Because CCP is the representation of China and the Chinese people. If you said, "I do not want you to represent me." Well, you are not 爱国, or you are "a few (bad) elements". So like everything else in China, you have to be a hypocrite. In fact, among the 1.6 million people, except for the 80% of peasants who are marginalized from the society and politics, 99% of the rest are hypocrites! If you do not believe me, take a look at the very Peking University students: 80% of the graduates in science and technology for the past 20 years went abroad and only very few came back to serve China! I call this "grand exodus" from China; I call this the great rebellion toward CCP's control or brainwash; I call it the colossal failure of Chinese education! Those people who went out of China become wage earners and professional slaves. They keep silent about the evil happening in China, partly because they are tired of the CCP rhetoric, and partly because they too have a struggle with the concepts and education of 爱国 inserted into their brain in China. So CCP is in power and will be that way for quite some time in the future, and the young Chinese people will continue to exit from their beloved country and not return; and the game will continue, as long as CCP feels happy that no one IN CHINA will dare to question and challenge it. |
